Webinar slides: reducing M365 risks

Webinar slides: reducing M365 risks

The complete presentation from the webinar of 7 May 2026 — prepared concisely as a „webinar to go" for internal coordination with IT management, security and compliance.

The second infrastructure

Almost everything starts in the on-premises AD as the leading system. But alongside accounts, groups and OUs, a second infrastructure is growing in Entra ID and M365: licenses, roles, mailboxes, teams and policies that never existed in AD. These cloud artifacts do not come back — and without a shared situational picture a blind spot emerges made up of guests, shared documents and access policies.

Every connection leaves traces

Teams, chats, documents, shares, external links: collaboration continuously creates new access paths. Particularly critical: external accounts retain access to shared documents even when the internal account was disabled long ago. And a migration to SharePoint does not solve data chaos — permissions that have grown over time and old data turn into new silos with more shares and less overview.

One graph connects everything

The MAX Knowledge Graph brings AD, Entra ID, M365, Teams, SaaS, licenses, audit data, shared docs and guests together in one model. Starting from a single account, the entire environment becomes visible — groups, roles, teams, SharePoint, Intune, usage and data volumes. Shares become manageable again: analyze shared documents, assess external access, remove obsolete permissions, revocation on departure. The AI works on the graph — going further than an isolated copilot: it identifies risks, explains causes and proposes Clean-ups.

Auszug aus dem Dokument

The presentation for the webinar of 7 May 2026: why M365 is growing as a second infrastructure alongside Active Directory, which cloud artifacts end up in the blind spot — and how the MAX Knowledge Graph connects AD, Entra ID, M365 and SaaS into a shared situational picture in which shares become manageable again.

Wichtigste Funktionen

  • Almost everything starts in AD — but the sync to Entra ID tells only part of the truth

  • The blind spot: licenses, roles, guests, shared documents and access policies without a shared situational picture

  • External often lasts longer than internal: external access survives the disabling of internal accounts

  • SharePoint does not solve data chaos — migration without Clean-up only creates a new silo

  • Clean-up in four steps: analyze shared documents, assess external access, remove obsolete permissions, revocation on departure
