The complete presentation from the talk at the WIMA-Webconference „Wissensdatenbanken & Knowledge Hubs" on June 24, 2026 — a „webinar to go" and therefore a solid basis for internal discussions with IT management, security, compliance and other stakeholders.
What the slides contain
The talk starts from a situation that many IT departments know: operations do not work because of clean documentation, but because experienced administrators know why certain structures, permissions, groups, storage locations and special-case solutions exist at all. The slides show how this implicit knowledge turns from a risk into a reliable knowledge base.
Analyze — Link — Document
- Analyze — make visible which identities, groups, permissions, data areas and Microsoft 365 structures exist.
- Link — individual pieces of information become a knowledge graph: relationships between users, groups, data, systems and owners become traceable.
- Document — changes are not only carried out, they are also linked with comments, justifications, approvals and responsibilities.
The result is an additional layer of knowledge above the technical state: a traceable decision history that makes handovers easier, audits more reliable and responsibilities clearer.
