20 years of experience. A platform for today's IT.
Our core principle: understand IT structures before you change them. Our story begins where many companies still stand today: with confusing data landscapes, hard-to-track permissions, and the question of who in a grown IT environment still knows what exists and why.

Identity, Data & Access Management
migRaven.MAX ingests Active Directory, Entra ID, file servers, and Microsoft 365, connecting everything in a knowledge graph.

The challenge
Today, companies no longer just need to know where data resides and who has access. They need to know why that access exists, who is responsible, and what risks it creates. This is exactly where migRaven.MAX comes in: instead of isolated lists, a comprehensible overall picture emerges from users, groups, devices, directories, shares, Teams, SharePoint sites, external guests, permissions, events, and owners.
MAX is the answer
Migration became data management. Data management became governance. Governance became migRaven.MAX — a platform for companies that no longer want to accept their IT as a black box. migRaven.MAX — because modern IT can only be securely governed once it is understood.
Why MAX was created
Today, companies no longer just need to know where data resides and who has access. They need to know why that access exists, who is responsible, and what risks it creates.
From analysis to understanding
Classic tools often show only isolated fragments: a group, a directory, a share, an account. In practice, however, security doesn't come from individual lists, but from understanding how everything connects.
migRaven.MAX therefore treats IT infrastructure as a network: users, groups, devices, directories, shares, Teams, SharePoint sites, external guests, permissions, events, and owners are all linked together.
From projects to lasting governance
Many companies cleaned up their structures in large projects — and after a few years faced similar problems again. New groups appear, external accounts stay active, permissions get added but are rarely removed again.
MAX turns this project logic into an ongoing process: Ownership, Recertification, Approvals, Lifecycle Profiles, Role Mining, Clean-up, and Monitoring all become part of daily operations.
From generic AI to infrastructure expert
Generic AI doesn't know a specific customer environment. migRaven.MAX, by contrast, uses the real, structured information from the knowledge graph. This lets the AI assistant answer questions about your own infrastructure, prioritize risks, and prepare reports.
The AI doesn't replace IT's responsibility. It provides context, explanations, and recommended actions. Decisions and changes remain controlled, documented, and traceable.
20 years of project experience — condensed into migRaven.MAX
In migration, data management, and permission projects, we've seen where complex IT structures come from and why classic single-purpose tools often fall short. This practical knowledge shapes migRaven.MAX: the platform connects data, identities, permissions, and responsibilities into one comprehensible picture — the foundation for secure, targeted decisions.

How our approach has continuously evolved
From migration tool to governance platform
IT security as the starting point.
Today's migRaven story dates back to 2001. Even then it was clear: networks, file servers, and user counts grow faster than the ability to manage permissions securely and traceably with built-in tools.
Protected Networks GmbH.
With Protected Networks GmbH, permission management in Windows server environments moved to the center of attention. The key question even then was: who has access to what — and through which path?
8MAN software — transparency for Windows permissions.
With 8MAN, our founder Thomas Gomell brought a solution to market that made permissions visible and analyzable. Many projects, however, showed that permission management only works sustainably once the underlying structures are understood and cleaned up.
aikux.com — security, efficiency, and clear structures.
With aikux.com and later migRaven.one, the focus shifted to the structured migration of data and permissions. The goal wasn't just moving data, but a controlled fresh start with comprehensible structures and cleaned-up permissions.
migRaven.one — migration and consolidation.
migRaven.one has helped and continues to help companies analyze file servers, plan new target structures, and migrate data with cleaned-up permissions. For many organizations, this was the step back to clarity and the ability to act.
migRaven.24/7 — data management for ongoing operations.
After migration, the real challenge remains: data keeps growing. migRaven.24/7 involves users and data owners to evaluate old data, trigger archiving, and anchor responsibility where the business context lives.
Cloud & Microsoft 365 — SharePoint, Teams, and hybrid data worlds.
With Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint, data increasingly spreads across local and cloud-based systems. migRaven.one and the Teams Archiver expanded the view to migration, archiving, repatriation, and cost control in hybrid environments.
migRaven.MAX — the next stage of development.
migRaven.MAX combines the experience from migration, data management, permission analysis, and governance in one platform. MAX ingests Active Directory, Entra ID, file servers, Microsoft 365, and other sources, links them in a knowledge graph, and makes visible how users, groups, systems, data, permissions, and responsibilities connect.
First understand. Then clean up. Then manage. Then control permanently.
Four steps with which migRaven.MAX makes grown IT structures manageable and permanently secure, step by step.
Understand
Objects, groups, permissions, data, and their dependencies become fully visible.
Clean-up
Outdated, redundant, and risky structures are identified and specifically cleaned up.
Manage
Identities, groups, rights, and responsibilities are governed clearly and traceably.
Control
Changes and risks remain permanently traceable, audit-ready, and under control.
